The Citadel Music Festival is held every summer inside the Citadel of Saladin, where popular Egyptian singers perform open-air concerts in a unique historic setting.
Tickets are usually affordable and crowds are large, making it one of Cairo’s best-known summer events. The 2026 edition took place in August.
