Cairo International Book Fair

The Cairo International Book Fair is one of the largest and oldest book fairs in the Arab world, with publishers from Egypt, across the region and around the world.

Besides the sales halls, the fair runs a cultural programme of talks, author meetings, poetry evenings and children’s activities, and it draws very large crowds, especially at weekends.

It is held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo. Visit on a weekday to avoid the biggest crowds.
