Cairo International Film Festival

The Cairo International Film Festival is one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the Arab world, bringing films from around the globe to Cairo each year through official competitions, premieres and special programmes.

Alongside the screenings, the festival hosts talks and Q&As with directors, actors and filmmakers, giving film lovers a chance to see work that rarely reaches commercial cinemas.

Most of the programme takes place at the Cairo Opera House on Gezira. Check the festival’s official website for the screening schedule and ticket details.
